ShutterTrim is developed and maintained by an independent individual developer, not a company. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it refers to the individual developer operating under the contact email below.

Data We Store On Your Device

ShutterTrim stores the following data locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device:

• App preferences (language, dark mode, settings)
• Gamification progress (streak count, achievements, personal records, daily goals, weekly challenges)
• Health score history and session statistics
• Premium subscription status (cached locally for offline access)
• Remaining swipe count and notification preferences

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party.

Permissions We Request

📸 Photo Library Access

Required to display your photos and videos in the app so you can review and delete them. We do not copy, upload, or analyze your media files. All operations happen locally on your device.

🎙️ Microphone Access

Required only to play video files with sound within the app. We do not record audio.

🔔 Notification Permission

Used to send you optional reminders (e.g., daily cleaning goals, streak reminders). You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.

📊 App Tracking Transparency (iOS 14.5+)

We ask for your permission to use your device's Advertising ID to show you more relevant ads through Google AdMob. If you decline, you will still see ads — they just won't be personalized. This does not affect app functionality in any way.

Third-Party Services

Ads — Google AdMob

Displays advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect anonymous identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Tracking on iOS). Google Privacy Policy →

Purchases — RevenueCat

Payments — Apple App Store

All payments are processed exclusively by Apple. We never see, process, or store your payment information. Apple Privacy Policy →

Notifications — Notifee

Used to schedule and display local push notifications on your device. All notifications are generated locally — no data is sent to external servers.

Sync — iCloud Key-Value Store

Used to sync your in-app progress (streak, XP, swipe credits) across your devices via Apple's iCloud. No personal data or photos are stored in iCloud — only your gamification progress.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your photos, videos, or any media files
• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your location
• Your contacts or calendar data
• Any usage analytics or crash reports (no analytics SDK is installed)

Children's Privacy

ShutterTrim is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take immediate steps to remove it.

Data Retention & Deletion

All data stored by ShutterTrim lives on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app. This permanently removes all locally stored preferences, progress, and cached information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
